Polycarbonate (LEXAN)
Properties:

1-          Legendary strength 200 greater than glass it’s virtually unbreakable.
2-          Resistant to fracture.
3-          bullet-resistant or shatter-resistant
4-          low weight in comparison to other high strength materials
5-          Maintain in a good mechanical properties between 40°F and 280°F.
6-          Absolutely transparent up to 2 In. in width
7-          Electrical and heat resistance
8-          Design flexibility: high ductility (used in lenses)
9-          Flame retardant.
10-      When blended with Silicone, it become a hard thermoplastic that doesn’t get scratched.
11-      Many options:
•      Thicknesses: 2-12mm
•      Tints: Clear, Bronze, Green, Blue, Opal, Grey
•      Specials: Special transparent, translucent and cloudy options are available.
•      Textures: Embossed
•      Protective Coatings: Double sided UV, IR Heat Block, Condensation Control
12-      Easily coloured.
13-      Non-toxic.
14-      Environmentally friendly processing,
15-      Recyclable ( Can be re-melted and reprocessed.).
